Child Safety Standards
PicMix has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards we apply, how anyone can report a concern, and how we respond. It applies to every part of the service: the PicMix website (picmix.com) and the PicMix mobile applications, including the Android app PicMix - GIFs, Stickers & Art, published on Google Play by GDN Labs.
These standards complement our Community Guidelines, our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
1. What is prohibited
The following are strictly forbidden on PicMix, without exception, and regardless of the intent, framing, humour or artistic claim invoked:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form: photographic, drawn, animated, computer-rendered, or generated by artificial intelligence.
- Any sexualisation of a minor, including through posing, framing or commentary, and any content presenting a minor as an object of sexual interest.
- Grooming: any attempt to make contact with a minor for sexual purposes, or to obtain sexual content from a minor.
- Sextortion, and the solicitation, distribution or trading of sexual content involving minors.
- Promotion, normalisation or glorification of sexual interest in minors, including "lolita"-style content, paedophilia and incest.
- Trafficking of minors, and any offer, request or facilitation of contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
Our Community Guidelines already prohibit all sexual content on PicMix. The prohibitions above are absolute, and are enforced by immediate and permanent account termination.
2. Minimum age
PicMix is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we remove that account and the associated data.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us at the address in section 6 and we will act.
3. How to report
Anyone can report. No account is needed to reach us by email.
- In the app and on the website, every PicMix creation, every sticker, every member profile and every private message you receive carries a report function, which sends the report directly to our moderation team. In the mobile apps, every comment can be reported too, and the report form opens inside the app: you never have to leave it.
- By email, at [email protected], for anything the in-app report does not cover, or if you would rather write to us directly.
- Through our contact form.
Reports concerning child safety are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed ahead of every other queue.
Telling us where the content is (a link, a username, a creation number) lets us act faster. You may report anonymously by email; we never disclose the identity of a reporter to the person reported.
4. How we respond
When a report concerning child safety is confirmed, we:
- Remove the content from public access immediately.
- Permanently terminate the account responsible, and prevent that person from creating new accounts so far as we are able.
- Preserve the content and the associated technical data as required, so that they can be handed over to the competent authorities.
- Report to the competent authorities, as described in section 5.
We issue no warning and apply no graduated sanction for CSAE. The first confirmed violation is the last.
5. Reporting to authorities
We comply with the child protection laws applicable to us, and we report confirmed child sexual abuse material to the competent national authorities.
You may also report directly, without waiting for us, and we encourage you to do so:
- In France: Point de Contact and the government platform PHAROS.
- In the United States: the NCMEC CyberTipline.
- Elsewhere: the INHOPE network lists the national reporting hotline for your country.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
6. Point of contact
For any question about our child safety practices, our compliance, or a specific report, and for requests from law enforcement authorities:
We aim to answer child safety enquiries within 72 hours. Requests from law enforcement authorities are handled as a priority.
